Well we had some kind of storm or animal activity in the yard last night, my patio cover is a mess on the ground. What ever happened was localized to that specific area. The garden, even the herb pots, the pool, all fine. Just the sitting area is trashed. So on my list today is clear that up and see if it is fixable. Make tea, koolaid and lemonade work on the kitchen the front room my office 2 loads of laundry 1 is drying the other will get washed when MJ leaves for Dialysis. Food may be the meat salads I made yesterday.

I spent a few minutes in the back garden. Pulled some grass from around the okra. This evening I'll fertilize everything. Meanwhile dh will pull weeds from the watermelons. The animals all got fed. I'm going to take a nap then bring stuff out of the sewing/library room that I want to get rid of. Not sure what dinner will be.

He's in his 80's now himself. Since the pandemic, he has been sharing whatever he is cooking for himself and his wife at home. Usually, the videos only take a couple minutes. What has really impressed me is how he puts together just small smounts of a few things... things the rest of might think of as leftover. Yesterday, he pulled from his freezer a single Italian sausage, a single kielbasa, and a single hot dog, and let them thaw. The Italian sausage was raw, so he cut it in chunks and browned it in a little oil with a chunky onion. When that was cooked, he cut the other two smoked sausages into chunks and added them. Then he put in a can of plain (no seasoning) butter beans and let it some to a simmer. While it was heating, he chopped up a leftover piece of tomorrow he found in his fridge and mixed in a little parsley. Then, he stirred that into the pan and added salt and pepper. It looked GREAT! I am going to try it. My boys love butter beans... and sausage... But in all earnest, they will eat 16 hot dogs between then if left unchecked. I'll make my beans from dry though.
