Good morning Ladies,
I am so sorry, I went AWOL again last week. I have been so extremely busy that I did not have time to get on. But it should be better now. Well, today is Monday and as I was sitting here, I was thinking how merciful, full of grace, longsuffering and wonderful our Jesus is. Truly magnanimous (yes I looked that word up, lol), but it does describe him somewhat. There are no words to actually describe the heart of Jesus completely, because it is just so overwhelmingly loving and beautiful. He is the lover of my soul. I tell him that all the time.
Anyway, lately I have been thinking, if it is possible to be a Proverbs 31 wife to myself... more like a Proverbs 31 widow. It is a weird thought I know, but what it really boils down to is, how much am I worth to myself, love thy neighbor as thyself, right? My home is a wreck. Seriously. I have to force myself to cook or eat regular and not eat junk. A lot of time I forget to eat, I am overweight and and and.... So can I take care of myself, Proverbs 31 style, that is my question. The answer is, yes I can. I have a husband, his name is Jesus.... so what hinders me. Nothing right. This brings me to my chores today. My shoulder hurts bad today, but thank God I have an orthopedic appointment on the 13th, looks like surgery again. Oh well....
So today, I WILL yes, WILL capitol letters, clean my kitchen including mopping the floor and put away the laundry, oh and make my bed of course. I hate an unmade bed. LOL
For dinner, in the spirit of what I said above, I will have honey-soy-sesame crockpot pork jobs on rice, which I have to put in now. I'll have some red bell peppers and onions on the side. I really need a smaller crockpot but I don't think they have those for just one person, at least not in Germany.
Here is your verse for the day, one we all know, I am sure, but it goes with my thought: Proverbs 31,10 Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies. 11 The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil. 12 She will do him (Jesus) good and not evil all the days of her life.
Love y'all, have a great Monday.
Doris
P.S. changed my mind on dinner to slow cooker bbq pork chops with mashed potatoes.... LOL
