I hope all you ladies are staying safe and warm.
This morning, I am going to do a kitchen-tidy, everything from the table to the stuff on the fridge.
I have classes schedule for this afternoon.
Have a nice day -

Put away all my Valentine decorations and put my winter whites back out until March. It is snowing again, and the world looks beautiful from my window. A snow plow went up my street last night; I am fairly certain our town doesn't have one, they must have borrowed one from northwest Kansas. We seldom get more than an inch or two here, but right now we are buried! I scoured the stove (which should have been done last night but I was worn out), scoured the cast iron and put it away, stripped the bed and one load of laundry is done. Bed is not made as the flannel sheets are going right back on the bed when it is done! I have set a batch of yogurt in my multi cooker. Still have dishes and a bathroom to clean, plus my exercise.

Good Morning Ladies. We got almost 9 inches of snow out. At 8 am it was -1, with a wind chill of -13. In midwest Texas! The HVAC guy can't fix the heat until after this freeze lets up because it is on the roof and our roof is an ice sheet. Come on Friday! We have 2 space heaters and my bed and MJ's bed have electric blankets on them. I added a heating pad to mine. We have the oven on to help with the heat. I cooked a ham in the crockpot slow overnight so when the rolling blackouts hit, we at least have something hot to eat. What an adventure! I am considering making some oatmeal too, with raisins just for the heat. Not a huge fan but it is warm and filling and means less time out from under my quilts! LOL

One thing I am hearing on the news is do NOT use your oven for comfort heating. Worst case, it can cause a fire, but it can also strain your circuits and lead to blackouts. No fun. I am very glad we have no blackouts here so far, because we own no electric blankets or space heaters or anything similar.

We expect to occasionally have that kind of weather here in Wisconsin, but not in Texas!
