I don't really make New Year's resolutions, but last year I wanted to make a clear effort to lose weight and get healthy. And I did! I lost almost 50 pounds and am feeling much better. I still have a long way to go healthwise, but progress is progress!
This year I'm going to focus on reducing, reusing, and recycling as much as possible. With prices skyrocketing here, I need to be more vigilant not to waste anything. I've starting washing and re-using ziplock bags, salsa jars, and margarine containers on a regular basis. This year I'm going a step farther and looking at all trash closely to see if it can be repurposed in some way.
I also want to draw closer to God this year. Actually that's an on-going goal, but I'd like to be more organized about it.
What are your goals for the new year?

I want to stop procrastinating. Is that really possible? That is all I can think of right now but that is a biggie.

That is a biggie, Gina! I'm terrible at that as well, but often it's due to health issues.

I'm going to lose weight this year. I really dug in last year, and it's the one thing I've been disappointed in. I was serious, but not successful. mountainma, your success has inspired me. I NEED to get this taken care of. I haevn't even waited for New Year, but started yesterday with journaling my eating.
I think I fell into the trap of thinking the eating plan (WW)stopped working. In retrospect, I think I should have shifted to a different plan within WW when I stalled (and by stall, it was MONTHS). I also know that there are some foods that are problematic for me. It doesn't matter if they're on the plan, or "free." They don't get a place on my plate this year.

The new year is in full swing. How are you all doing with your goals?
My weight loss slowed down and I found out my gummy vitamins are full of carbs! Also, many advertised "low-carb" foods are not KETO friendly, something I found the hard way. Now I'm being more diligent to read labels. Hopefully I'm back on track now.
My goal to reduce, re-use and recycle is always on my mind and I keep thinking up new ways to do this.

So, I have had no success in really altering my diet. I am spread too thin to be able to always make myself a separate meal and make enough for the rest of the crew. For example, one day last week, I cooked up a 4 lb. cabbage with onions, garlic powder, and salt and peppe. Then I tossed in some chicken meatballs. It filled the ENTIRE big slow cooker. I figured we'd have it for lunch and I'd be able to eat some left over for lunches. NOPE. I had one bowl (about 1 c.). Ds 2 and 3 ate the ENTIRE rest of the pot... for lunch! ANYway, one success I am having (so far!) is that I've been getting on my rowing machine daily. I did take yesterday "off," but other wise, I've been on there at least 30 minutes a day. My only goal right now is to make it as much of a habit as drinking coffee
