Hello all!
I'm sorry it has been a while. I wanted to give you all an update on our homeschooling journey.
Right now, we are still homeschooling but for the Fall I've enrolled the children in a Hybrid private school that they would attend 3 days a week, 9am-2pm and do assigned work the other 2 days. It is actually something I wanted for them a few years ago but finally things have fallen into place.
It is bittersweet in some ways- I'm so accustomed to choosing and tailoring my children's curriculums to suit and we will no longer have that flexibility, but on the bright side, I think that the children will overall enjoy it more and it will give me a much needed break as well.
They will take the 4 core subjects (Language Arts, Math, Science and Social Studies) as well as Art and Spanish.
The boys will be going into 3rd Grade and Aveline will be going into 1st.
All 3 of my children have some learning differences, but the school believes they will be able to accommodate them. Therapy for Johnny's dyslexia has been going very well and I will likely enroll Thomas in the same when we can afford it. Aveline will need speech therapy in the near future also.
In the eyes of the law, we will still technically be homeschoolers because of how it is all set up, but it will certainly be a big change for us regardless, as right now I'm with my children 24/7!
I hope you are all doing well! How many of you still have children that you are schooling?
I miss you all!
♡Amber
P.S. I got Facebook back about 6 months ago to stay in the loop for church related stuff, please message me if you'd like to friend request me to stay in touch on there!

Hi, Amber! Great to hear from you. That sounds like a lovely program - one where you can get the best of both worlds.
We still have two schooling at home. Our oldest graduated last May. He plans to take college classes (at some point). He started working full time about a month efore he officially graduated (he had completed all of his course work). He's been doing well with working and took a new position at a Chick-Fil-A in January, and is not very much enjoying the work.
Our second son is a junior this year. He is still figuring out what he wants to do after finishing school. He recently started a leadership class through out tae kwon do dojang which is proving really good for him.
Our youngest is a freshman. He tends to get through his work pretty quickly, and enjoys reading. Right now, he's interested in culinary arts and is thinking about working in or even owning a restaurant some day. He's been taking some cooking classes (online).
Most of their core classes are online and self paced. We're going through a writing curriculum together, and I have them take math and science lab classes online. The science is complete, but the math is more like a resource time when they can get help or just talk about what they are working on in their maths (Algebra for one, PreCaclulus for the other).
