Did a last minute swap on dinner; Ryan wanted creamy chicken and rice instead, so the butter chicken can wait for another day. Tonight I am doing Ryan's favourite vegan soup, Rachael Ray's chickpea noodle soup.

Tonight at Ryan's request, we will have Miss Maggie's Humble Helper along with an as yet undetermined vegetable.

So Ryan asked for lamb kebabs for dinner. I informed them that 1. we have no charcoal and 2. There is no way I am grilling outdoors in a Kansas winter. So I am doing lamb vindaloo instead, with basmati rice and spinach.

Today is Ryan's birthday, so for dinner we are doing chicken fingers, roasted sweet potatoes, spinach and blueberry salad, and cheesecake for dessert.

Sadly, Ryan got really sick last night, not sure what is going on. Maybe his new dosage of medication. Anyway depending on how he feels, I will either do leftovers tonight or possibly make him some chicken soup.

Salisbury steak and mashed potatoes tonight as I believe it will be easy to chew.

Tonight I am fixing pasta and sweet rolls, which are soft and easy to chew. Probably fruit instead of veggies for now.

Still trying to find meals that are easy to chew for poor Ryan. He is in so much pain, because he is on antidepressants which make it impossible to take pain killers like ibuprofen or opioids, so all he can do is Tylenol. I think tonight will be refried beans and huevos rancheros, which should be easy enough to get down.

I found a whole chicken on sale, so I'll bake it for dinner and serve with broccoli and rice.

I've missed visiting this thread. I could always find good ideas for meals when I ran out of ideas. Tonight was fried porkchops I found on a good sale. Sides of mashed potatoes and saute'd onions with lots of gravy over all of it. Yum!

The baked chicken turned out beautiful and we did mashed potatoes and gravy instead of the rice. I think tonight will be veggie beef soup.

Well, we pick up dinner from church on Wednesdays, but today it's soup. DH doesn't like soup, and it won't fill the boys. DH will likely have a salad and I'll serve the boys cheese and crackers on the side with the soup.

I cooked up a large pot of french onion soup today so that will be supper for me. Hubby asked me to keep him a pork chop from the night before last so that's what he'll have with some sides of veggies.
