Sorry I've been MIA for an entire week. I've been really sick with something (I strongly suspect covid again due to a brief loss of taste and smell) and it's been a very rough week. Yesterday was some better, and today I'm halfway "normal" again, although still weak and struggling to catch my breath.
A couple of sweet ladies from church helped us do Dd2's baby shower today. It went really well. We decorated with a little cowboy theme and it was all so cute. Dd2 was well enough to attend (we weren't sure since she's had so much sickness) and she loved it. The family is happy to have leftover party food for dinner. I came home and crashed. Dd1 was a real trooper and did all the grunt work I wasn't able to do. I think she's ready to crash, too! We let the men clean up afterwards and haul everything back to where it belongs.
Now we just wait a couple more weeks until the little one decides to make his grand entry into the world!

Rebekah, my dd in CO has covid and H flu and a lady from church has covid. I have done much of nothing the past two days besides some housework. Not as much as I'd like to have done but just haven't felt up to par. My lungs feel heavy, my oxygen level drops down to 91% and I grt dhort of breath just walking. We were without power only about 23 hrs after the hurricane. A lot of Houston and surrounding areas still is without power. The temperatures in those areas have been in the 90's so it's bad. We are blessed. No major damage and we are on county water so never lost that. Those on well lost water when power went out. Tomorrow ds and grandkids are coming to church.

Gina, it amazes me that these crazy viruses are still going around. I have been thinking of you and the others in your state, and I'm so thankful you have power. I wonder, has anyone heard from Mel? My heart goes out to all those affected by the disaster.

I haven't heard from Mel. I don't think she was affected by these storms (at least not the hurricane). She's a lot further north of me and the hurricane went northeast after it reached us.

Hi ladies!!!
Rebekah, I'm glad that you are starting to feel better and that the shower went well. I can't believe that it is almost baby time.
Gina, have you talked with your doctor about how you've been feeling.
I was wondering about Mel too.
Not much different around here, just chugging along.

Yesterday was just very busy - busier than I expected.
But the new scrubber came. I set it up to charge over night.
This morning, when I unplugged it, I went to put the charger away.... AND GUESS WHAT I FOUND.
The charger for the old scrubber. 🤦🏻♀️

I'm in the hospital. I will have a stress test and an echocardiogram done today. Went to the hospital that my cardiologist has privileges at even if it was a further drive (about 45 minutes). I was going to be having those tests in October at my checkup but the ER wants them done now.
Sandra, it always happens that way doesn't it? Now you have a backup.

Gina, I hope you get sorted out soon. Sorry you're in the hospital, but glad that you are being seen.
As far as the scrubber goes... the new one I got is different. I realized when it came that it won't do some of the same jobs I used the other for. I think it will work out. I'll have the old one for the jobs it can handle and we'll see what the new one (which is much shorter) can do. But, yes, I wouldn't have ordered the new one if I had just found that charger. I think I'm going to tape both chargers to the handles of their respective scrubbers!

I just had the stress test. It was a nuclear test so they injected radioactive drug in my IV then take pictures (done similar to a MRI) of the heart for 15 minutes. Then go for the stress test. I had been NPO after midnight because it was going to be a chemical instead of treadmill (drug injected to work my heart harder) but the doctor overseeing it said there was no reason I couldn't walk the treadmill. Did that then back for more pictures plus a CT. So I was NPO for no reason. Waiting for my lunch. Once the doctor(s) read the results of everything they'll probably send me home. I'm feeling good today.

Gina - that's so frustrating. Did he at least let you have something to eat before making you walk the treadmill?
Glad you'll be getting home soon.
